stressed for a test and can't say no

A young woman is stressed
to pass her math test
she could fail again
but yet she can't say no to a persistant friend
who doesn't seem to care her grade is on the line
the friend is not bad, but it seems he does not care, that things will be fine

sometimes she feels used
though maybe that is not what he intends
if I, I mean she is out past ten
she gets in trouble but not the friend

I, um I mean she sometimes sits
and wishes she could make him see
she needs to be able to say no, and for him to accept it
and not try to get her to accept his plea

I legit got grounded this January for coming home too late- you know how long it lasted?

Until daylight savings time!

...and then they pressured me into breaking the rules again a week later!

Peer pressure is such a real issue and has made me, as well as so many other people I know, do things that I didn’t want to do & knew was bad in my heart. Thank you for speaking up on it.
