Here's a poem about a tea party.

Pearl Waterjewel decided to throw a party

In which she would serve some tea
To some of her friends
From many a river bend
For a time as fun as could be.

Arriving first were a mouse and a squirrel
Both charming hibernating girls
Who awoke in time for Spring
Awaiting adventures it would bring
During this tea party hosted by Pearl.

A variety of flowers like a rainbow
Were arranged to pleasantly show
Within a basket
That looked like it belonged to a cheery mascot
Spreading cheer beneath the sun's glow.

Readying the teacups and bowls meant for soup
As well as a special melt-proof scoop,
Pearl readied a kettle
That wasn't made of metal
So the water would be ready to serve to the group.

Then came three butterflies
That had long flown the skies,
But now deemed it best
To take a little rest
But came next was a pleasant surprise.

When everything was ready
Pearl aimed true and steady
To avoid a hot water spill,
Toying said water to her will
And within seconds both small teapots were full already!

Then Pearl had all the water placed in each cup
Then added the actual tea to mix it all up
But afterwards, safer to cool
A tea-scented pool
How's that for a warm up?

Soon it was time to serve pastries and such
Which were made with flora that weren't flavoured too much
From sweet-looking crumpets
To cakes shaped like trumpets
And even a little pollen and nectar for a sweet touch.

When the party was over, Pearl started cleaning
And the once-bright sky was slowly leaning
Towards the night,
So while still with sunlight
Pearl thanked everyone for convening.

When everyone left Pearl's abode
And nonexistent grew her workload
Pearl grew so tired
For the night she retired
To her bed as the moon softly glowed.

Thank you for taking time to read
Or listen to this poem indeed
Fare thee well
Let your travels stay swell
For literacy opens new doors, agreed?

Hope you enjoyed this poem.
