A friend of mine takes amazing pictures and I used one of his close ups on some frozen plants to draw Periwinkle.
And now a moment if silence for my ignorance because I was convinved it was spelled "perwinkle" and not "periwinkle"... I just.... why is the English language so hard to write? Lol I'm happy I won't be making this mistake any more times but the fact that it tool me more than five years to realize how it's spelled makes me want to hide somewhere.
And now let's go back to the drawing.
I used three different canvases for this work because the picture resolution was so high that Procreate didn't allow me to use more than 15 layers... the last drawing I did had 106 just so you can understand my pain in working with so little.
My goal was not to make it too obvious that Periwinkle wan't "real". I tried to blend her with the picture anf adjust her colors to the light of the picture and its tones.
I have to say I'm pretty satisfied with the result!
But what matters to me is your feedback so please give me plenty because I know there is always room for improvement!!
About the second picture... this time the photo wasn't taken by my friend but I found it on the internet and its resolution was too low to draw something like Periwinkle. I insted drew Prilla being the annoying little brat she can be with Luke by cutting him midflight
I missed drawing fairies, I've been working on a ton of commissions lately and doing something for myself feels nice.
