Fly with you fairies and hope autumn preparations are going smooth! Now, before I get into the nostalgia, here's a message from the 2009 pixie postings.



There have been so many different sections in the postings and here's a little timeline of them.


The original sections were Tabby's Tell All, Seasonal Scoop, Home Sweet Home, From the Mainland and Featured Badge.


Long time Pixie Hollow fans like myself remember that Tabby's Tell All is about Tabby answering questions. But it actually used to be about Tabby reporting on the latest new features in Pixie Hollow and stuff (such as the minigames when they first came out).

Seasonal Scoop reported on stuff about the season and events. Fairies could also submit shoutouts.


Home Sweet Home was run by Gwinn, the decoration talent fairy and it talks all about home decorating. Eventually, she asked for poems and stories about home for the postings.


From the Mainland was messages from the Never Council about technical game stuff and contests. This section would also feature stories and poems.

Later in 2008, Home Sweet Home was replaced with the Fairy Tale section.


When 2009 rolled around, the Featured Badge column was replaced with a news bulliten about events and shops which would vary depending on the issue. Some of these bullitens would have submissions from Pixie Hollow's players. The pixie poem section was also added in early 2009. The poem section used to be run by Terrance and the fairy tale section used to be run by Lyria.


So in the first part of 2009, there was Fairy Tale, Pixie Poems and Tabby's Tell All. There were also two news bullitens (some Seasonal Scoops) in each issue.


Pixie Postings recieved a major overhall in September 2009. There were only four sections instead of five. Each issue had a Tabby's Tell All, Fairy Tale, Pixie Poem and a news bulliten. The new postings also had a countdown until the next season and a pocketwatch with the pacific time.



Now, let's talk minigames!


The original minigames were Bubble Bounce, Water Web, Firefly Light Up, Petal Pick Up and Harvest Hustle.


In 2009, Snowflake Sweep (the first minister talent game), Tinker Toss, Fairy Fireworks and Snowy Lullaby were added. Multiplayer games (the party games) were also introduced that year. Back then, games would first release as a member's only preview before being avaliable to everyone.


Fairy Fireworks actually released for one day in late 2008 and a few lucky fairies got to test it. Back then, Iridessa was the host. It was originally going to be rereleased in early 2009, but it was delayed. It was finally released in the summer.

2010 added Seed Sorter, First Flight, Crazy Cakes (the first multiplayer game that wasn't a party game) and Butterfly Painter. Vidia's Daily Spin was also added that year.

2011 introduced Pinecone Pop, Gem Juggle, Two for Tea, Sunbeam Bend and Animal Derby

I know you all miss those minigames, but luckily, you can play Harvest Hustle in the FairyABC game center.


And about crafting, Bobbin and Mendy's tailoring nooks were added in the beta. The crafting system was very different back then. Instead of leveling up, you'd unlock more crafts by tailoring what you already have. And if you want to personal tailor something, you'd have to keep practice tailoring that item until this xp bar fills up. All crafts would have four minigames; Roly Poly Painting, Caterpillar Cutting, Pattern Placement and Spider Stitching.


In late 2009, Dulcie's Kitchen and Copper's Tinkering Nook were added. In Camp Pixie Dust 2010, the first event crafts were added. Those are crafts that would only be avaliable for a limited time. But if you fill this practice crafting xp bar, you'd be able to have this item forever.


The crafting system had a major overhall in spring 2011. You'd unlock crafts by leveling up and you'd be able to personal craft an item right away (which I loved). And when practice crafting, you could choose to practice all the minigames or just one. You'd be able to keep a seasonal craft if you personal craft it (which you could do right away). Tailoring especially had a major change as not all the items required all four of the original minigames. New tailoring games were added such as beading, button search, knitting and eventually shearing. You'd unlock those minigames in the upper talent levels. Silly sweets were also added to Dulcie's. Eventually, cupcakes for the highest level fairies were added and there was an additional cupcake making minigame.


Fun fact: The majoirity of the tailoring tops were actually "belly tops", but in 2011 they were all replaced with a similar piece which wasn't a belly top. Also, Bobbin and Mendy had an outfit change.


The fashion boutique mobile app was released in late 2012. In that app, you could play some of the tailoring minigames.

I love seeing the leaf lettering! I never knew it was used anywhere outside of the In the realm of the Never Fairies book I have!

| oml the Leaf Lettering got me excited back then. I used to run across the room to grab the book and transcribe them. Good times. :' )
| And I always knew that Tabby was the oldest in the Pixie Postings crew, and stayed throughout the game. That's sweet!

I can remember decoding this long ago. I even made up stuff  with leaf lettering for my family members to figure out. It was such a fun time back then. I use to get so excited when Tabby posted new poems and stories because I always submitted an entry. Tabby was so important in the hollow and her postings gave us something fun to look forward to each month.
I can remember when they removed  the belly tops and everyone was so upset over it. They were such cute tops and they were removed with out notice but if you had made one it stayed in your leaf journal and you could still wear it. Wow the memories.

Yes!! I definitely remembered the Fashion Boutique mobile app. It was my favorite game. Thanks for sharing the timeline.
