Opening Speech

I am blessed to have shared almost a decade of life with Abi, and there are far too many pictures to fit them all here. So many of our wonderful members know Abi from FCF, so I wanted to share some mostly non-FCF memories that I am honored to carry with me for the rest of my life.

ABI! <3 I cannot stress enough how much I wish I got to know her sooner but it will always make me smile seeing how much of an impact she had for FABC and yall's lives. She will be deeply missed but we will carry on her legacy as she is never truly gone. We love you Abigail Flickerfly!


Since I don't have any memories/screenshots of Abi (didn't get to know her till prom 2024 ;;  ) I made a tribute piece for her! I'm a bit shy sharing my work since I don't usually draw a lot but I'm a bit glad of how this turned out. I purposely made the flowers flow in the colors of a rainbow to represent the creativity Abi brought to FABC and as a representation of us fairies, regardless of talent. I hope this is something she would have liked. <3 #FlickerFlyForever

I could not fly in last night but I was so moved by the power and love this community has. I don't have access to where a lot of my pictures from here are kept, I made something for her last night. Hope this is ok to post here as it's not technically a memory.

Even though Abi and I didn't get to interact much, I did manage to see her at one last prom.



The Masquerade Prom 2024 was also the last prom I wore my then-signature belt.






I also remember visiting and admiring her page, but though she will be missed, her memories live on.

Whenever I think of how to describe Abi, a line from an L.M. Montgomery book comes to mind:

"...(She) was one of the children of light by birthright. After she had passed through a life with a smile or a word thrown across it like a gleam of sunshine, the owner of that life saw it, for the time being at least, as hopeful and lovely and of good report."

Abi truly is one of those rare children of light who brought joy, warmth, and wisdom into the lives of whoever she passed, no matter how briefly.
