Forum Suggestion: longer access time to posting replies on threads

Hello! I'm not sure where else I'm allowed to post this, so I'm posting it in Fairies General Discussion.

Currently there's a 15 day time limit to be able to reply to a thread; after 15 days nobody is able to post a reply. I think it would be nice to give everyone more time to reply, because most members don't visit every day or probably even every few weeks. If we had more time to reply to threads we might be able to create more activity on the site and bring more life back into it.

What do you guys think?

Yes, I agree with this! A 15 day limit is really short, so making it a little longer might be cool

I third this! 15 days may seem like a lot but they go by fast and not everyone can comment when they see it after the 15 days. I think there was a 'magic' item on here where you can unlock a thread but I believe it has to be your threads. I haven't tried in a looooong time but of what I remember, even unlocking your thread won't let you comment further

I would be down for this as well! There has been many threads I've come across and wanted to comment on but couldn't because of the time limit running out by the time I get to it.

Interesting suggestion! This is an older setting from several years ago when it was more likely that trolls or well meaning users might bring older threads to the front page which can be confusing. I'll look into it.
