Fly with you Fairies! And yes...it's time for another long explanation on how Pixie Hollow changed. But this time, it'll be about the Great Winter Light Up and the Winter Wonderland Party.

There wasn't really a winter light up in 2008, but there was a Never News Post saying Iridessa has lost her fireflies. Fairies were encouraged to play Firefly Light Up and Iridessa made a visit in Springtime Orchard, but that was about it.

The first Winter Wonderland Party was at the end of December 2008. The Winter Woods were decorated with lanterns, a collectable badge was at Snowcap Glade, and Silvermist had a quest. This was the first ever event quest.

2009 began the Great Winter Light Up in December before the solstice. It's all about providing light for the winter fairies as they prepare to go to the mainland. The Winter Woods gets decorated with these lanterns as the music gets muted. Only sound affects of the winter fairies working play. Players would earn a badge for playing Fairy Fireworks eight times.

2009's Winter Wonderland Party was a lot more involved than the previous year. There would be a holiday snowflake hunt in the Winter Woods and the event badge would be earned by finding all the pink and green snowflakes. Rather than one event quest, there would be twelve short ones involving all the famous fairies. Each would give an ornament based on the Twelve Days of Christmas song. A Christmas tree inspired by that song would be in Cottonpuff Field. And finally, that was the first event where the Ballroom was open, and that's where the event gift would be.

2010's light up lasted the first eight days of December. The Fairy Fireworks badge this year would require scoring 28,000 points in a single game.

From the end of the light up until the solstice, Silvermist would have a quest as by this point, the event quest would be before the event rather than during it. The reward would be an ice palace key badge.

The holiday snowflake hunt and the Cottonpuff Field tree would be removed in 2010, but there would be the Ice Palace instead where players can collect animal ice sculptures and play the piano. A snowflake emote was also added. An interactive snowball fight was added to the ballroom and interacting with it would give players the event badge. Snow would also be added to Havendish Square.

In 2011 there was no longer a Winter Light Up badge, but there was still a Silvermist quest that rewarded players with the key. The light up lasted from December 7th until the solstice.

The main event badge would be earned by making it snow in the ice palace (by having enough players use the snowflakes) but there was still a snowball fight badge. Players with the Grow talent skill could plant holly in the palace to make a gem bunch appear. There would still be snow in Havendish, but it would have a nighttime look rather than a daytime one, complete with interactive lanterns just like in the Winter Woods! There would also be a holiday gift making station.

And finally; 2012. The ballroom was actually open for the Light Up that year with the 2009 winter look and a free gift. The nighttime snow would be in Havendish minus the gift station. The theatre kitchen would be decorated for the holidays throughout the entire festive season.

In the ice palace that year, players could magically decorate this Christmas tree. The event badge would be earned similarly to that of 2011, only instead of the snowflake emote (though it still remained), players would use the new whistle emote with the hat from the ballroom.

Silvermist was a common sight at this event. And starting in 2009, the Minister of Winter visited every year with a gift. The pixie pals also visited starting in 2010. They refered to themselves as "Snowflakes" and "Snowfairies".
