I recently found some very soft moss outside and I remember that it feels soft, almost like a gentle brush or a fuzzy apricot or peach. It also feels quite spongy. Moss is said to grow heaviest to the north, but I believe you'll find it heaviest in the shade and the north isn't always in heaviest shade. Have you ever seen, let alone felt the softness of moss?
