~But it wasn't a dream because…

~"Peaaarrrrrrllll?" drawled Lavender.

~"Can't you change the last two rhyming lines?" the taller Silver whispered to her sister Pearl.

~"Why?" whispered Pearl.

~"Because we can't use them next year."

~"Ssssssiiiillllvvverrrrr?" drawled Lavender.

~"Oh, good, you're up," said the smaller Silver. "But you gotta wait outside your house with your eyes closed."

~Lavender got ready for the day and stepped outside, then covered her eyes by lifting her glasses onto the top of her head like a headband and placing her hands over her eyes.

~"You can look now!" called Pearl.

~Lavender opened her eyes, readjusted her glasses and…

~"Like?" asked the taller Silver. "We made it ourselves."

~A statue of Lavender made entirely of ice, but to ensure it never melted, the smaller Silver sprinkled the statue with miniature gems that she mined herself in the Winter Woods. She knew one day all those gems, which never melted or allowed anything they encased to melt, would come in handy.

~Lavender hugged her wintry friends to thank them for the gift and carried her statue to her garden, where it then turned into a diamond statue. The statue glimmered when the sunlight touched it just right and it reflected Lavender's kind, laconic personality.

~"But wait, there's more!" said Pearl excitedly as Lavender was guided to…

~"We've all been working on making this the very best Arrival Anniversary ever!" chimed Saffron. "We know how much you love to wear green and the colour green, so we Sewing Talents got together and made four new green suits for you! We figured trouser suits made of durable materials were more your speed."

~Lavender took out each suit and admired them all. They were a lovely shade of evergreen, Lavender's favourite shade.

~"And we made one more outfit just for your Arrival Anniversary, but first you'll have to close your eyes."

~Lavender did just that, then she was given a bright green plaid skort and shirt with a jacket and zigzag boots. Lavender usually preferred trousers, especially when they were shorts, but this particular skort only looked like a skirt in the front with the legs a bit longer; the back looked like layered trousers. It wasn't her absolute favourite, but it was at least her new seventh-favourite (the suits were, after her favourite shorts and plaid shirt combo, were her next four favourites, especially the autumn suit, her new second-favourite outfit). All the suits needed was a green cap reminiscent of a zoot suit and…

~"You can't have a zoot suit without the matching cap," said Foxglove, placing a green hat atop Lavender's head. "Man, you look good in that zoot hat, but I wonder how the zoot suits will look?"

~Lavender decided to try on each of her new zoot suits and everyone agreed, she looked good in them! Finally, there were two more special outfits for Lavender, but what were they?

~As it turned out, Lavender got a fifth zoot suit, the truest-looking zoot suit of all, alongside an outfit reminiscent of disco, both green. Lavender couldn't wait to try them on, so…

~Wow, I really look good in these, Lavender thought before putting what she was wearing first back on. These new outfits were much too nice for everyday use.

~Lavender flew to the Arrival Day Celebration to get her one year cupcake, which had to be made larger and not as sweet since Lavender wasn't that big on sweets, also much greener. The frosting was green, the toppings were green grapes instead of blueberries, the cupcake itself was green because, spinach mixed with flour and green food dyes, the little cup holding the cupcake was green and even the candle was green! The only thing the Culinary Talents couldn't make green was the fire lighting the candle, but that was okay because at least Lavender had a wonderful time on her First Arrival Anniversary. She blew out her candle and, after eating her cupcake, promised Zalena a buttercup cake on her Animal Friendship Anniversary just a few months later. Speaking of, Zalena was wearing that zoot hat Lavender got as a present, but the hat was definitely too big for Zalena, and Zalena was a little large for a ladybug. Still, this Arrival Anniversary had never been happier.
