What could be,
What could have been,
A mere and slight,
Coincidence,

Quick and sudden,
Yet slow and breath-taking,
Our meet was chance,
And left me shaking,

Don't bother trying,
To undo the past,
I know this universe,
Great and vast,

So if we ever meet again,
You must know my diagnosis;
Each time you leave, I am sucker-punched,
And I fall in a field of roses.
