The struggle of middle school. Hey everyone. Today I wanted to talk about the struggles of middle school (well at least my struggles). I am in 7th grade, almost done with the 3rd quarter. This year, I joined chorus. It is the biggest regret of my life. I really do not like it. I mean, yeah, I love singing, but really? I have to have it all year, and I don't have any classes with my best friend. Middle school changed my life. My best friend went from not popular, to the most popular. It made me jealous. She became so stuck up. Once we got to 7th grade, I had no classes with her, but she became that nice person I remember. WHY?? Now I want to be her friend again, but I don't have time to ever talk to her. I also have another best friend who doesn't like her. My life is so mixed. But once I come home from school, everything is fine because I am with my family. My twin sis, my older sis, and my little brother.

- I'm so sorry your friend chose popularity over your friendship. I know how it can feel to lose a friend. When I graduated from high school in 2011, I lost touch with nearly every friend I had. The ones I did stay in touch with I only recently have started to lose contact. Yet, ever since I came here, I found new friends and have felt a LOT better about the importance of having True Friends.
As for your friend who chose popularity, she might simply need to learn the hard way what is more valuable. After all, popularity itself is superficial. Everyone wants it, yet it does not create True Friendship. It never has.
The best advice I can give to you is to avoid the popularity trap yourself, seek out some True Friends, and pray (or Hope if you prefer) for your friend who has been swayed by popularity.

- Dude, middle school sucks the pits. I wish I knew why we change, though I already know "hormones" and science-y terms contribute. Keep on moving forward! You deserve to enjoy these years :) sometimes the universe doesn't align to what you hope, so make the best of what you can, whether you find better friends or choose to go into the fray alone. I'm rooting for you!

- Don't worry, you can look for new friends, she prefer being popular over your friendship, but the life punishes. Remember the popularity and fane is temporary.
