Welcome all! :) Sense I live on a farm I thought I would make an update series! Let's get started!
I incubate chicken, Peacock, and Royal Palm Turkey eggs. Two days ago our newest little Barred Rock chick hatched! Throughout incubation the little dear was wiggling around and everything! We have one more Barred Rock on the way then we are looking forward to 14 more Turkey eggs!
Sounds like a lot right? XD It is! But, we make good income on them because Royal Palm turkey chicks can be sold for $10.00 a pop!
It is so fun to be a Momma to so many chickadees!!!!
Moving on to horses!
We have four horses, and we got them on June 15, 2017 . The oldest is the mom of the rest. Her name is "Momma" and she is 4. The next oldest is Aspen and she is 2. Her younger sister's name is Maggie and she is 1, while their only brother is 12 weeks old! Now that introductions are in place we can get onto the exciting stuff: training! I have trained (almost) all of them to walk on a lead rope, while nearly all of them are halter broke! Aspen is broke (which means we can ride her now) as well. I lunge Aspen in a walk daily and work with everyone else on halters and leading. So far, everyone is listening to my cues! We shall see how it goes!
Finally, I think I should share how much animals we have on the farm. Well, we have 59.
We have 24 chickens, 1 chick (1 more on the way), 4 turkeys, 2 peacocks, 4 turkey chicks (14 on the way), 4 horses, 2 cats, and 3 dogs! We are looking for goats as well and a llama to protect our animals! Plus, a few pigs and sheep!
Ok yes we are crazy XD
Thanks for reading my first Farm update! I am going to try to update ya'll once a week!
